2011-2012 Overview

Woodbury Lakes Shopping Center wants to put cash in your school's pocket with Cash for Class.

Cash for Class is an incentive program designed to benefit local schools through cash awards. Students, families, friends, and educators are all encouraged to shop Woodbury Lakes and apply their receipts to their favorite participating school. Schools will receive one point for every dollar spent at Woodbury Lakes. Additional bonus points can be earned by promoting the program at your school. The school with the highest point total at the end of the program wins the grand prize, cash!

Based on total accumulated points earned between September 12, 2011, and May 14, 2012, each school will be awarded their cash prize in June 2012 as follows:

1st Place - $2,000
2nd Place - $1,500
3rd Place - $1000
4th-15th Places - $300

Shoppers simply make a purchase at any store or restaurant at Woodbury Lakes during the program dates, September 12, 2011, thru May 14, 2012. There are two easy ways to get credit for your receipts:

Option 1: Bring your Receipts to the Woodbury Lakes Management Office
Bring your original receipts to the Woodbury Lakes Management Office from 8:30AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday. A representative will record the amount of your purchase, stamp the receipts, and return them to you before you leave. If you are short on time and don't need the receipts back, simply leave them with us and we'll make sure your school gets credit.

Option 2: Send your receipts to School
Your school can have its own receipt box for students and parents to drop their receipts in. This option is only available to families who do not want their receipts returned. A school representative must deliver the receipts from the box to Woodbury Lakes Management Office on a bi-weekly basis.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  Do we have to turn in our receipts or can we keep them?
A:  There are two easy options for you to turn in your receipts:

Option 1: Bring your Receipts to the Woodbury Lakes Management Office
Bring your original receipts to the Woodbury Lakes Management Office between 8:30AM and 5:00PM, Monday through Friday.  A representative will record the amount of your purchase, stamp the receipts and return them to you before you leave.  If you are short on time and do not need the receipts back, simply leave them with us and we'll credit your school of choice.

Option 2: Bring your Receipts to School
Your school can have its own receipt box for students and parents to drop their receipts in.  This option is only available to families who do not want their receipts returned.  A school representative must deliver the receipts from the box to Woodbury Lakes Management Office on a bi-weekly basis.

Receipts must be handed in within 60 days of your purchase.  Receipts must be from Woodbury Lakes stores or restaurants.

Q:  Do we have to maintain a specific point balance throughout the program?
A:  Yes, schools must redeem at least $500 in receipts per month to remain in the program.  Schools must also reach a minimum point balance of 10,000 by December 26, 2011.  Schools that do not obtain the minimum point balance will be eliminated from the program.

Q:  How do I view my school's ranking in the program?

A: The monthly school rankings will be available by the 5th of each month on www.woodburylakes.com.

Q:  Can I set-up a table at the shopping center to collect receipts?

A:  Unfortunately we don't allow any solicitation on the property.

Q: Can I have stores collect receipts for our school?

A: No! It is not a receipt drive and receipts in groups of time and date will be tossed out unless we know of a special event your school is having on property such as a scoop night at MaggieMoo's or a teacher luncheon at Lakes Tavern & Grill.

Q: Can I turn in photocopies of receipts?

A: No. Only original receipts will be accepted.

Q: Will I receive points for gift cards that I purchase?

A: No. It would be unfair to the other schools if someone received points for purchasing a gift card and points for purchases made using the gift card. Because we cannot track a gift card after it is purchased and have no way to prove that it is a gift for someone out of state, the easiest way for us to be fair to everyone is by not giving points for the gift card, only the items purchased with the gift card.

Q: Can I turn in receipts for a store from another mall ? for example, if I purchase something at the Rosedale J.Jill store, will it count for Cash for Class since there is a J.Jill at Woodbury Lakes?

A: No. All receipts must be from stores or restaurants at Woodbury Lakes.

Q: What if the store I like to shop at doesn't carry an item from their catalog and they have to order it for me?  Will I still get points?

A: If the store orders it for you from their catalog or website, ask the employee to write down their name, their store phone number and the amount of the purchase on store letterhead or a store business card (item must have the store logo imprinted on it).  Bring it to the Management Office and we will give you credit for it.  We will not however, give points for showing a shipping receipt from an order placed online or through a catalog.  We must see proof that the order was placed at a Woodbury Lakes store.
